MILWAUKEE — Wisconsin State Reserve Judge Stephen A. Simanek issued a ruling from the bench, affirming the certification of the presidential results from two Wisconsin counties.
The judge said the court could only review the recount process in Dane and Milwaukee counties, that resulted in some 200,000 ballots being challenged by President Trump’s legal team.
Judge Simanek determined that state election officials followed the law during the recount process.
The judge noted it was important to rule on the case quickly and his decision was subject to appeal.
