WASHINGTON — Like most Americans, you probably didn’t know your federal government zealously regulates frozen cherry pie. Yes, you read that right. For years, your hard-earned tax dollars have helped the feds enforce strict rules on cherry pie manufacturing. That is until today.
The American Bakers Association recently submitted a sweet petition to overturn the FDA’s tart rules. Under the leadership of Dr. Scott Gottlieb, the FDA announced they will relax the pastry rules and allow bakers “greater flexibility” in the manufacturing of cherry pies.
Finally, a little for common sense from The Swamp, and just in time for Christmas.
